In my ongoing journey toward enlightenment, I have come across so many fabulous books, documentaries, and other resources that have really, really rocked my world. I’ve read books about life after death and the power of our energy, watched documentaries on happiness, shifting our perspective, and our impact on the world. I’ve taken Reiki, assist at an awesome hot yoga studio, and love learning about ways to go deeper in my own mental, spiritual and emotional journey.
All that being said, I am not on a quest for immortality in this world. I have learned about so much that is beyond what our little blip of human existence is. I’m not trying to go to the woo-woo world here – but we all know that we are so small in this great big world. Soooooo small. Our place, our sense of time, everything we have on our planet, is minuscule:
So why then, am I talking about immortality? Strictly speaking, this means to live forever. And what I have loved learning about is this incredible soul and energy we have that is beyond our human flesh…and the fact that we do have the power to live forever.
We have the power to live through our legacy. We have the power to write a story that becomes the history that sets a path for the future. We have the power to be significant. To make an impact. To spread world peace.
Every connection, starting with our own family, is a little bit of our legacy. We spread awareness in our own home, we focus our energy on the positive, and we see the love, the light, and the soul within each other. I say Namaste to each of you. I focus on the positive relationships, and I am constantly working to be present in the moment. There are moments, hours, even days or weeks where I fail at this. We all struggle and we all have our bad times. But the overall goal is to write a story that simply begs to keep on going. Write your life in a beautiful story that continues on through the love and the impact you made on others. Live your life so your legacy remains immortal – not you specifically, but that powerful feeling, energy, and emotion that your presence gave to someone else.
Your name and your physical presence is not as important as the way you make people feel. Let that feeling – that love, that acceptance, that grace and significance – let that be your immortality. Let that live on, and spread that feeling beyond your lifetime. Go ahead – start your immortality today.
