1. Namaste Personality Snapshots:
Alright, I have to start this list with the product I believe in so much, it's the core foundational component to all of my coaching.
Based on the DISC personality profiles, I've used these in business for the past 15 years - and have now created a variation to walk you through understanding yourself - and your family - better. My forte is working with entrepreneurs and their families through my Family Portrait Sessions, and this key component is the key to open the door of awareness so you can truly thrive in your strengths - not only in your business, but in your home life as well!
2. Typorama App:
I love this app! The majority of my quotes/graphics on my website were created through this - it's so easy to use, and I just airdrop them over to my computer.
You can instantly create images for YouTube, FaceBook, Instagram and more, use a watermark, and, what I love most - it creates the font variations so you don't have to play with a gazillion fonts to see what works together. Instant win!
3. Social Media Marketing World
This is definitely THE go-to event for Social Media Marketing. If you are looking to expand your business through any form of social media - FaceBook, Snapchat, LinkedIn, vlogging, podcasting, etc - this is a jam-packed event that is worth every penny.
Honestly, if you don't even attend the live workshops but just network and watch the replays, it's worth it. This is how I connected with rockstars like John Lee Dumas (Entrepreneur on Fire), Pat Flynn (SmartPassiveIncome), Cliff Ravenscraft (Podcasting A to Z), and so many more. Last year I went to an afterparty and visited with the creator of that oh-so-famous Squatty Potty pooping unicorn YouTube video creator!
4. The Selfie Light
Okay, I can’t bring myself to post a selfie stick, but grab one of those as well. Not for just your own selfie, but because it so comes in handy to take those family pictures at all those awesome places where there aren’t crowds of people to do it for you! I have gotten some excellent family shots from the selfie stick.
Now what I will post, however, is a selfie light - I do video conference calls all the time for my coaching and mastermind groups, and the worst is looking at a shadow. I found this little light for $10 and it works great to illuminate your face - for the darkly lit family pictures or for video conferencing.
5. Jetpack MiFi 6620L
This is the hot-spot that I have been using for Internet - it's been great for us and I can take it wherever. Pair this with an antenna and we've been pretty solid. This is a great one for beginners, or as a backup for mobile work.
6. Jetpack MiFi 7730L
This is my newest upgrade - according to my internet connection, this one is 2 models newer than the 6620. Although the previous one gave me no issues, this one means I can pick up all five of Verizon's bandwidths, as opposed to only two with my 6620L.
This one also allows you to use it as a battery charger for other devices, which is a pretty cool extra feature as well!
7. Proven Amazon Course
If you are looking for an entrepreneurial business that taps into the vastness of the Amazon audience, look no further than the Proven Amazon Course. I know this team personally, and they will help you navigate ALL the options through Amazon. When you access the course, you get access to any new courses in it for life!
8. How To Start A Virtual Business
This is my friend Bryanna Royal's course that really lays out the basics of how to get started with a virtual business. This is an excellent course to get you thinking with strategy from the get-go so you are intentional about the business and your goals. As another full time RV family, Bryanna knows the logistics of making this work while on the road - I highly recommend this!
9. Real Artists Don't Starve
This is an excellent book to push all you creatives to get out there and make your art sustainable. You don't have to be a starving artists, and Goins does an incredible job of crafting stories about so many famous people you know - and how they eliminated the "starving artist" mentality and went on to be a huge success with their art. Definitely worth a read!
10. Ask and it is Given: Learning to Manifest Your Desires
If you believe in the Law of Attraction and the power of your mindset to provide abundance in your life, check this book out.
11. The Fire Starter Sessions: A Soulful + Practical Guide to Creating Success on Your Own Terms
There are some books that really stand out as game-changers. This book was the beginning of our biggest shift to live a full-time travel lifestyle. What a powerful book - described on the back as a "Kick-ass version of the Artist's Way". This book helped me to re-think how I look at goals, intuition, and the purpose of money. Definite must-read!
12. What Got You Here Won't Get You There: How Successful People Become Even More Successful
This is a pretty powerful book that definitely called me out on a few things I do that may have gotten me to the top in the biz world, but aren't the best in building relationships. Great info in here!
13. Wisdom Meets Passion: When Generations Collide and Collaborate
Oftentimes we come into our entrepreneurial endeavors with all the passion in the world...and not an economic leg to stand on. The younger generation gets ragged on for just being passionate, while the older and wiser seems to be passion-deprived. Think beyond what you know and challenge the norms - be educated in what you are going to do to make an impact on the world and blend the two for a powerful force.
This was written from two generational perspectives - my father's and brother's - and the two couldn't be more different in many ways. I highly recommend this book to challenge your thinking on how to really make a difference in a way that is sustainable.
14. QBQ! The Question Behind the Question: Practicing Personal Accountability at Work and in Life
The solution involves an entirely new approach. We can no longer ask, "Who dropped the ball?" "Why can't they do their work properly?" or "Why do we have to go through all these changes?" Instead, every individual has to ask the question behind the question: "How can I improve this situation?" "What can I contribute?" or "How can I make a difference?"
15. 37 Days of Different: A Guide to Break Out of Your Boring Routine and Start Changing Your Life
If you're stuck in sameness and don't know how to get it, this sweet and easy little read is a perfect first step. Pick one and do it daily!
16. Triggers: Creating Behavior That Lasts - Becoming the Person You Want to Be
Chapter 13 is the best, and prompted my blog post on it! What Am I Investing In?.
Goldsmith shows how we can overcome the trigger points in our lives, and enact meaningful and lasting change. Goldsmith offers a simple “magic bullet” solution in the form of daily self-monitoring, hinging around what he calls “active” questions. These are questions that measure our effort, not our results. There’s a difference between achieving and trying; we can’t always achieve a desired result, but anyone can try. In the course of Triggers, Goldsmith details the six “engaging questions” that can help us take responsibility for our efforts to improve and help us recognize when we fall short.
17. The Go-Giver: A Little Story About a Powerful Business Idea
Quick little read that shares a lot about giving and having a positive outlook on it! Here is a blog I wrote on this book: To Give Is To Recieve
18. The Desire Map Experience: A Guide to Creating Goals with Soul
This is incredible. I went through this with Nathan and did the full set - reading through the book while listening to the audio (worth it to hear the audio as she adds a bit when she speaks about it), journaling and going through the workbook - incredible!
19. The Power of Full Engagement: Managing Energy, Not Time, Is the Key to High Performance and Personal Renewal
This may be business-focused, but it is so life applicable! Powerful information on how to really be present both in work and in life.
20: Love Does: Discover a Secretly Incredible Life in an Ordinary World
Why would I put this book under "entrepreneurial resources" Because I firmly believe one of the most important things we can incorporate into our work is generosity. So often we can get stuck in a scarcity mentality and try to cling to our ideas and our resources. This book is an engaging read for the whole family, and lays out a lifestyle of simply being open to love and give freely. Although it has a Christian foundation, this isn't just a religious book. It's joy, laughter, love and spreading the good. I happen to know Bob Goff, and he truly lives the life he portrays in this book!
21. The Art of Non-Conformity: Set Your Own Rules, Live the Life You Want, and Change the World
This book is a paradigm shifter. For every parent eager to look beyond the box and explore the many possibilities, this is a must-read. Guillebeau addresses the educational system and how to look beyond traditional structure to embrace life-long learning. Definitely check it out!
This really shifted my mindset on money - to go from "what can I afford" to "is this a worthwhile investment" really made a huge impact on the law of attraction and having an abundance mentality. I highly recommend this game.
23. Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear
"We imitate until we are ready to innovate" - get over your fear and let those creative juices flow. This book is powerful and gave me a kick in the butt to find my voice and get it out there!
24. The ONE Thing: The Surprisingly Simple Truth Behind Extraordinary Results
This powerful little book may have been written by real estate guru Gary Keller, but it goes far beyond real estate to all other areas of life. Multitasking is way overrated. Choose ONE THING and get moving!
25. Thrive Themes
I'm a huge Wordpress fan, and yet I'm not tech-savvy enough to make it all beautiful on my own. Thrive themes is fabulous! There are so many things that make it super easy to use - all of my pages were created using Thrive, as well as the fun "Thriving or Surviving Family" quiz on my site.
You can piece out just the plugins you want, or grab the whole she-bang. Check it out - the videos are super detailed to make you an expert in Thrive in no time.
