Where are we this week?

Field Trip Gypsies

We had a sweet homemade Christmas full of craftiness and sunshine. We made our own tree and stockings out of recycled paper and scraps, and wrapped presents in Trader Joe's paper bags!

It was simple, it was sweet, and it was perfect. And our biggest takeaway was in simply being flexible and soaking in the moment, embracing opportunities as they come your way, and letting go of what it "should" look like.

Regarding the Podcast...

Now, regarding this podcast, we’ve been doing some soul searching as to how we want this next year to go down. And to be honest, we aren’t quite sure if a weekly podcast is part of the cards. We’re discussing options like moving to a bi-weekly or monthly program, or doing a hiatus and coming back with another themed season again like the first six seasons.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be making some decisions regarding this. With my multiple areas of focus, we’ve covered a TON on this podcast, and looking back, the most downloaded episodes seem to be focused on the pain points of parenting. I’d love to hear if that’s what YOU gravitate toward, and if there is any topic you feel we could dig deeper into!

We’ll keep sharing with you along this process - we love this, yet, we want to practice what we preach with being intentional with our time.

Keep the conversation going!

Looking forward...

As we head into New Year’s Eve, what traditions do you have, or want to start? Every year we sit down and write out what we learned from last year and what we want to learn in the following year. I’d love to say it’s super organized, but it’s not.

We have had variations of goals and dreams we dig into each year, and it’s more about setting an intention. We have chosen words of the year for a while now - choosing AWE in 2015, AND in 2016, and FOCUS in 2017.

Next week we’re going to share with you what our word is for 2018, and reflect on how simply choosing one word as a theme for the year has made a huge impact on what we’ve been able to do and our mindset on it.

Your Weekly Challenge:

So what about you? What word are you brewing on for next year? What do your New Year's Eve plans look like? Share with us your plans, and let us know what your intention is!

Christmas Reflections

We are all doing the best we can with what we know at the time. We may be a genius today…have grace, flexibility, and a growth mindset. Celebrate your strengths. Recognize your triggers. And remember, the uniqueness in each of us strengthens all of us.
