It’s my birthday – and my business has been born!
That’s me. Happy mama of three precocious girls, madly in love wife of almost eleven years, unschooling parent, coach, manager, implementer and more at 48Days.com, henna artist, Reiki therapist, painter and all-out creative person, and a lot of other random things, like making fudge and using American Sign Language whenever my mouth is full.
Today is my birthday, and I’m officially a year older. (Side note: for just this one day, Papa Gray and I are the same age. Tomorrow, he’s back to being older than I am. ) Today is the day I birth something new – something that has been brewing in my heart and in my soul for years.
Today is the day I start with intention. Today is the day my “Mama Says Namaste” blog is no longer simply a place for my random musings, and no longer something I come back to once every few months and then let fade off.
June 2, 2015. Today is the first day Mama Says Namaste is open for business.
I’m a long ways off from having this biz ready. I am working with my incredible brother Jared Angaza on a kickin website and branding style, and refining what this site is on a daily basis. I am building content to create products to share, building resources and connections for all the awesome things I want to share with you, and starting to lay out the logistics on what all this means.
So, my quick summary on what this is all about is this – I have spent the last ten years working with people on how to build their own business, live the entrepreneurial lifestyle, and navigate their lives and relationships based on the DISC personality profile. And through this time, I’ve been blogging, musing, and growing within my own family and always gravitating back to the relationships and connection aspect of life.
The point of this site is to create deeper connections with each other – starting from the inside out.
I work with families to challenge, inspire, and encourage a home life that is one you truly get excited about and can’t wait to not only get home to, but take on the world with. Looking at each person’s unique personality style, we focus on how the uniqueness in each strengthens the family as a whole.
Life is truly a grand adventure and I want to push you to move forward with the synergy of a family that is bonded together.
I’ve been seeing so many people going through transitions, not just with entrepreneurial endeavors, but getting married, having children, looking at schooling options, looking to road-school or world-travel with kids, etc. I have so many resources to connect people with that excel in all of these areas, and I’m eager to share them all. But there is one thing that people keep coming to me for – and that’s figuring out their own unique personality “snapshot”, and then learning how they can take that knowledge to better communicate and connect with others.
I know transitions can be tough and scary – understanding how you are wired, and how those you love most communicate best – these are critical components to allow your family to go through these transitions together vs. drifting apart.
So as I go through this I am refining my process and my brand. I intended to start from the bottom up, building eProducts and resources, blogging and vlogging my way for a while as I build an audience, and then ramping up from there. But then some of you amazing people pushed me to go further faster. You reminded me that I have been coaching for over ten years now. I know the DISC profiles inside and out and have a valuable tool there along with an innate ability to decipher them in a very personal way.
I’ve created coaching packages and am developing products for every budget. I’m blogging regularly every Thursday and will have an email list soon. (And of course on my birthday I can blog even if it isn’t a Thursday)! I’ve already been approached about collaborative live events, coaching clients, and pushes for me to do a book. I’m so open to the possibilities and determined to pace myself so I can follow through.
I am committed to this. My biz is going to grow and morph as I learn, and my husband Nathan is an integral part of this process as well. Not only as my support, but also in the value he adds from his perspective not only as the husband/daddy, but also as a very different personality style than I have.
I’m putting this out there today – this is the birth of a new business. And like a birth, this basic little site is merely the beginning. She will grow and walk on her own and I’m going to aid that process in every way I can.
So stay tuned – not only am I investing in my own site, this is my commitment to invest in you as well.
Please share with me what you would like to see from me – blog topics, e-product ideas, or any feedback on what I’ve said above. Share with me your websites so I can spread the word, comment, and grow with you.
