Behind the Scenes – Hurricanes, Houses and Hair (Episode 173)

Boy has this been a jam-packed last week of ups and downs! We closed on a new house in Florida, I chopped off all my hair, and we thankfully missed a hurricane.

This episode is a bit more "behind the scenes" of just hearing about a week of our adventures...and how we process through it.

Lots of decisions...and a very strategic confirmation bias.

So, we got a house

We cover ALLLLLL the details in the episode this week, so you just have to listen. And no, as our friend Donnie says, "fulltiming is a state of mind." We now have a place to land in Nashville, TN, Venice, FL, and anywhere in our 5th wheel. Wherever we're not can be a haven for others. 🙂 But if you want a sneak peak of some pictures, here you go!

Lots of fun outdoor space for hammock villages and fairy houses!

Loving all the flowers in bloom here!

And the fruit! We'll definitely be adding more!

And haircuts

It was definitely time. And I went drastic. Clara went shorter than she thought she would but loves the lift it gave her. And I love mine - it grows on me more and more every day (ha - no pun intended)!

Don't Just Hear Our Story...

We really lay out the whole story in the podcast episode here...but more than that, we wanted to share with you how we managed it. How we coped, made the most of it, and found the silver lining along the way. Not because we're that perfect family. We're learning and growing just like you. But, as you'll hear in the podcast, our "confirmation bias" leans toward a positivity that gets us through a lot. We know our week is minor compared to real pain and heartache some families may have faced this week - yet our strategies we talk about here are just as relevant no matter what you're going through, and it's walked us through much worse weeks than this.

Your Weekly Challenge:

So check your silver linings this week, and remember that sometimes, even when we may think things aren't going our way, the universe has a way of conspiring in our favor.

We wish you adventures that help you grow, learn and thrive together as a family as you keep living your life and creating your stories.

We haven't always been at the place we are today. We worked hard to get here, in so many ways. And the first step was mindset. What story are you writing?
