This past weekend here in the US, we celebrated Independence Day. And, once again, our weekend was riddled with mass shootings and horrific anguish at all that seems to be falling apart in our country. And...unfortunately, this isn't isolated to the USA. All across the world we are experiencing division and upheaval as we all seem to be looking at "good" vs. "evil." And yet, the debate ensues as to what is truly good, and what is truly evil. The reality is, there isn't much that is truly that black and white, and we have complex issues that are causing the rifts.
So this week, instead of a full blog post, we lay it all out in the podcast episode. This is a completely raw and unfiltered conversation between Nathan and I on our first step we feel is necessary if we really want to see any positivity and good grow in this world. We definitely share our opinion...and I hope it's one we can all agree on. Start here.

Look at the person in the mirror. What feelings do you bring forth - what do you hope to convey to others? Is it love, kindness, awareness? Is it resentment and hate? What feelings do you have when you look at yourself? Those same emotions can very well be what you are sharing with the world.
Start within and remember your impact. You create a ripple effect that will leave a legacy beyond your time on this Earth.
Go back to a family vision. If you aren't yet ready to look in that mirror, remember the people who love you who are looking at you for love, attention, support...and let them help you remember your worth. Look for what words and emotions you want to exemplify what you - and your family - presents to the world.
This isn't a time to be silent. And that doesn't mean we simply scream our dissent. Your words do matter. How are you speaking and connecting to those around you? How are your words and actions creating a ripple effect in the world?
Explore, respect. Listen, connect. Learn and love. This is my family vision. What is yours?
