We've accomplished traveling to 48 states! With our requirements of spending the night in every state, we have officially slapped the sticker on our 48th state in less than two years. We reflect back on some favorite places in our travels, along with hearing from our daughters what stood out to them.
In this episode, we bring in some very special guests to share some of the highlights of our travels they enjoyed.

48 States and no signs of stopping
Yes, we still have Alaska and Hawaii to cover, but this is a big accomplishment our family has been so excited about. We have officially put a sticker on every state in the lower 48, and no, this doesn't signify the end of our journey. In this episode, we bring Clara (11), Ellie/Liza (8), and Juliet/Graycie (5) on to share the highlights they enjoyed.
I feel we've merely scratched the surface to all of our adventures, and as our two year "nomadiversary" is looming, we plan on compiling more reflections from the road.

Where are we this week?
We are loving Oregon! We've had fun exploring the Portland area and hiking around Mt. Hood.
It's been a bit of a battle dealing with internet issues here in the PNW, but the vibe is one that is worth it - we do love this area!

Curious where we've been? Well, we've been everywhere...

Just a little Highlights reel...
Some of our favorites…
- The southwest and the vast differences - even in the air - in contrast to the southeast.
- Whale-watching in Massachusetts, seeing a shark feeding frenzy on a minke whale carcass
- City Museum in St. Louis, MO - so much fun for the whole family!
- Biking Shark Valley in the Everglades, where we biked 14 miles twice and saw 124 alligators
- Swimming, canoeing and paddle boarding in the springs in Florida…and seeing all the monkeys and iguanas!
What Do We Reflect On?
Our hearts are all running in the same direction, yet our expression is unique - and we have so appreciated seeing the differences - and similarities - in all of us across the country.
So many people forget how magic their own location is. When it’s right under your nose, sometimes you take it for granted.
Look at your own bubble and explore it with a different perspective.
Your Weekly Challenge:
Do something new or different in your own state.
Look at other states and look at a new place to explore.
Crowdsource. Ask the locals. Look at your country with different eyes, and find a new place to discover - in your own hometown and beyond.
The more we recognize those personality styles and those strengths and what triggers us, the more we can come back to how the uniqueness in each of us strengthens all of us.

Thanks for listening! Yes, the monkeys in Silver Springs area were so great. They are apparently quite a nuisance, but of course fun for us to see – just don’t get too close – they are feisty! 🙂
As for mountains, it’s hard to beat Glacier! I think those were my favorite…but boy there are so many amazing ones that each have their own unique beauty – that would be great to just do a mountain tour as well!
So enjoyed your 48 states podcast! Thank you. And congrats seeing all 48 states! Now I want to ask Jill and Tony if they plan to see the monkeys in FL so I can fly down and join them! I do love mountains and want to see all the different mountains in the US.
